[ARCHIVED] McFee to be sworn in Tuesday; other public meetings this week

BEAUFORT, S.C. (March 8, 2021) – Mike McFee, who was elected to City Council last week in a Special Election, will be sworn in at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, March 9, in City Council chambers during a Special Meeting. The meeting will be streamed live on the City’s Facebook page. Members of McFee’s family and close friends have been invited to attend.

McFee was first elected to City Council in 2008, and was mayor pro tem in his last term. The Special Election was held to fill the unexpired term of current Mayor Stephen Murray.

Public meetings in the City of Beaufort will be conducted via Zoom and streamed live on the City’s Facebook page (www.facebook.com/CityBeaufortSC/). The public can comment by signing on to Zoom during the meeting.
