Following the public master planning process developed by world renowned park consultants Sasaki and Associates, the City began seeking a first class firm to implement the plan. We needed a firm with the capacity to pull together all the details of this functionally diverse project. ColeJenest and Stone became the obvious choice to take on the task.
Based in Charlotte, CJS is an award winning architecture and urban planning firm with a broad base of civic and recreational projects. Firm principal Brian Jenest has provided the benefit of his decades of experience, coupled with that of his highly talented staff to coordinate a team of civil engineers, landscape designers, and architects to develop a site plan and implementation program that will return the Waterfront Park to its former glory.
CJS has developed a number of urban parks including Pack Square in Asheville and the award winning University City Station in Charlotte.
