Welcome to the City Manager's page.  Scott Dadson joined the City of Beaufort in 2006, bringing extensive experience in local government operations and capital projects management.  The  City Manager is responsible for the daily operations of the City and oversees all departments of the City government.

Under the City Council's leadership Mr. Dadson's effective management, Beaufort is weathering the recession in strong financial shape and with increased and imporved customer service, among those efforts:

• Beginning an aggressive, citizen-based Civic Master Planning process to help make immediated improvements to the City while outlining design goals for the coming century
• A massive City clean-up that removed more than 400 tons of debris from properties.  Removing the debris elimintated fire hazards and beautified the City, and the clean-up was largely a volunteer effort by residents, neighborhood associations, City employees and Waste-Pro.
