Lietenant Lee was born and raised in Lewisburg W.Va, then finished with high school in Ashland,Ky. It was in Kentucky he found his passion for the fire service. He was a Volunteer at the Cannonsburg Volunteer Fire Department in Boyd County KY. He was exposed to the variety of the calls from vehicle crashes to large brush fires. While working as a Jr manager for LOWES home improvement it opened his eyes to management and public relations. In 1993 he moved to the Lowcountry and in the fall of 2007 began volunteering for the Beaufort/Town of Port Royal fire department. In 2009 Lieutenant Lee landed his dream job in the City.
Lieutenant Lee came up through the ranks of the fire department and in spring of 2018 became a Lieutenant. His roles rang from being an assistant instructor for the reserve firefighters for the last three years. Lieutenant Lee also stepped up to help launch and build the department's report writing sytem Emergency Reporting. Lieutenant Lee has many IFSAC Accreditation's from Fire Officer 1&2, to Fire and Life Safety Educator 1. He is also an Associate Degree holder in Fire Science from Columbia Southern University which he attained while still attending required advancement classes with the department.
Lieutenant Lee continues to instruct new recruits and other subjects for the department. He is very proud and humbled as a firefighter. He has found Beaufort and the Lowcountry to be his home. Lieutenant Lee is also one of many origin & cause investigators for the department. And hopes to one day be a Fire Marshal.
Lieutenant Lee resides in the City of Beaufort with his wife. Between he and his wife they have three boys and two dogs. The Lees enjoy camping and cruises whenever they get a chance.
