Jan. 22, 2020
Ladies and Gentlemen:
Please see the two maps that detail work through Jan. 29 in Basin 1 (vicinity of the Duck Pond) and Basin 2 (vicinity of Southside Park).
Basin 1
Despite the rain and colder weather, progress was made this week. The Spanish Moss Trail was prepared for concrete installation and the first 250 feet has been poured. We expect it will take about four full days to repave the trail. Many new concrete sidewalks have been poured along Battery Creek Road and First Blvd. Next week, cleanup and concrete work continues on the Spanish Moss Trail, Battery Creek Road and First Blvd. We are still awaiting delivery of the pipe that will be installed between homes from North Royal Oaks to Battery Creek Road.

Basin 2
As advertised, the contractor returned to the Lawton Farms Road area to complete finishing work. The contractor expects to work this weekend to resolve the remainder of the minor but outstanding issues. With regard to the Spanish Moss Trail between Riverside Drive and Brotherhood Lane, all three headwalls have been installed. This sets the stage to attach the massive drainpipes and install the three flap gates. Following the installation of the flap gates, the Spanish Moss Trail will be repaved and reopened. We are not expecting to work this weekend.

Safety!
We’ve had another perfect week of safety. Thanks to all who have worked so hard to ensure we maintain a safe environment.
