[ARCHIVED] Filing packet for Special Election for City Council seat

Special election

Beaufort, S.C. (Jan. 5, 2020) -- Filing has opened for candidates interested in running in a Special Election on March 2 to fill the unexpired City Council term of Stephen Murray, who is the new mayor of Beaufort.

The deadline to file is at noon on Friday, Jan. 15. The filing fee is $150.

Filing packets, including the Statement of Candidacy and Statement of Economic Interest, are now available to be downloaded here or can be picked up picked up from City Hall (City Clerk’s office, 2nd floor) .

The new City Council member will take office on Tuesday, March 9, 2021.
